As I relaxed in my room this issue struck my mind and am quite sure that when I talk about the so called virtual friends, I would be termed as old fashioned but I think am not because we claim to be Christians but we are not keen on building on the fellowship of believers in the body of Christ.

Am not just saying this but it is real ma dear brothers and sisters, there was this friend of mine whom

in instagram had a thousand and over followers mmmmh when it comes to facebook u couldn’t alter a word on the number of friends she had and what about snapchat I can’t even mention but in real life she had only me so these real hit me hard. I asked myself a million and one questions that no one on the face of the earth could answer but only Christ Jesus could grant me an answer.

I know and understand the importance of making friends, also the significance of technology in our lives today but I don’t advocate for virtual stuffs at the expense of realistic things. Nowadays one can even scan his or her own moods even seek mood boosters fine it’s not bad but are u guys getting what I am against? Ok u can get into a home and find everyone glued to his/her smart phone or the television then u wonder if this is the current life style or is there a crack somewhere. In our situation here in campus whereby everyone is busy on ‘wifi ‘all over without even a single word u can get an answer to it.

Waaah! at a times am perplexed that those whom u see busy with the iPods, tablets and so on, their relationships with people around them is very wanting yet they think it’s ok. Ok we are in the 21st century I don’t deny but what the scriptures uttered then and now is not different ma dear brethrens. Now Paul states clearly that we should not fail to fellowship in the family of believers as some are in the habit of doing so, do u know why he says so, because he knew that in fellowship with real brethren u are kept accountable in your walk with Christ as compared with a virtual friend whom u can paint for him/her a fake picture of yourself.

I say this when I mean it because your fellow brethrens will keep u accountable but where we go wrong is wanting to conform to the standards of the world at the expense of Christ standards

Rom12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Let’s not conform to the world but build health relationship with the fellow brothers and sisters in true fellowship for the sake of Christ Jesus because it is not all about us but it is all about Him. It’s my humble pray that snapchatting and whatsapping shall reduce then real life friendship shall increase. Hope it impact your life in Jesus name amen.
